Kent Cyclopark hosted race one of the Winter In The Park series organised by Finish Line Events UK. Both Category D [under 10’s] and Category E [under 8’s] started together, and for the first lap Caelan managed to stay with the under 10’s having a team mate in Harrison Powell informing him to not push the pace and let the others dictate events. By lap two Harrison pulled away being certain he would win his category leaving Caelan dicing with three under 10’s for the next five laps…

The bell sounded for one lap to go with Caelan in third position and soon coming up the final straight after executing an early sprint on the others from the final corner. He held them off all the way to the finish line to take second in the race behind Harrison and first in his age category.

Caelan was extremely happy that Lee Valley Youth Cycling Club took a first and second, not to mention scalping some older racers on a day you could have built an ark.     British Cycling Race Report
