EAST LONDON VÉLO : MOTT STREET HILL CLIMB

East London Velo in action...

October the 21st saw the Mott Street Hill Climb organised by East London Vélo Cycling Club who Caelan has been training with during the Summer. It’s not the Col Du Tourmalet being about one kilometres with a 67.0 metre gain, but it’ll give a good morning Cat 5 workout (and Essex is not known for its hills).

Conditions were damp with wet autumnal leaves under wheel so the descent to Lippits Hill had to be taken carefully. The best time was given to Adam French at 2.03 with Caelan putting in a 3.59 youth time. He dubbed the climb the ‘Devil’ but still did it again as a warm down. Well organised and the man-child was glad to have completed his first event of this type.
