On a Monday evening in late July at Redbridge Cycling Centre, 1988 World Champion Maurizio Fondriest and his cycle distributor Brian Stanwyck of Impact Cycle Trading turned up for a ride-out. Maurizio was covering the Olympics for Italian television and was pleased to see a young rider out training. He was down to earth and enjoyed being on the wheel of Caelan as well as leading him out to the line. Maurizio put Caelan on his Facebook page and Brian later sent on a Fondriest shirt and hat… Both were absolutely true gentleme and an inspiration to CJ….
