When Mark Fraser the Editor at Youth Cycle Sport asked if CJ would be willing to take part in a video and photo shoot reviewing a pair of new on the market bikes on a Monday, it looked like a no no but fortunately for him the school had ‘another’ Insert Day….. Therefore it was clip in, lock and load and ready for action.
Also, luckily the weather was on our side with the recent rains temporarily subsiding, though the wind speed was high and would make for tough going.
The bikes on the day for review at Redbridge Cycling Centre were the new Culprit Junior 2 (road bike) & the Islabikes Creig 26 (mountain bike) and CJ looked forward to putting them both through their paces along with fellow road & cyclocross racer James Fraser of CC Ashwell.
The video and photographers (Mack & Me) assigned were total professionals, especially as working with children and they did a sterling job directing the boys throughout the long afternoon in extremely difficult conditions.
Anyway, the experience for CJ was rewarding as he enjoyed both machines and had fun working hard until dusk, plus he now has an insight into the world of cycle reviewing as well as feeding back input.

Lastly, many thanks to Redbridge Cycle Centre for being so accommodating on the day.
Ciao for now.
